His garden

Charming craftsman-style house with dark gray siding and white trim, surrounded by lush garden featuring colorful flowers and green Adirondack chairs on a gravel path.

Bringing the front and back gardens to life was an exciting challenge and a testament to how personal outdoor spaces can reflect individual personalities while creating harmony.

The couple behind this project envisioned two distinct yet complementary garden areas that catered to their unique lifestyles and preferences.

The husband, known for his sociable nature, enjoys greeting neighbors from his front porch and wanted a welcoming space where he could even invite them to sit and chat in the front garden.

As an avid gardener, he wanted a manageable space. This garden is the perfect size—enough to enjoy, but still peaceful for coffee with friends.

Her Garden
A landscaped garden with a green house, potted plants, and various greenery on a tiled patio.

Her garden was once a patchwork of mismatched garages and neighboring fences. What seemed like a challenge became a creative opportunity. We took inspiration from her love for color and wanted to reflect the warmth and charm of her Midwestern roots.

While the existing pavers had to remain, we softened their rigid lines by carving out cozy garden islands, creating two intimate spaces—one for dining, the other for reading.

We refreshed the water fountain, turning it into a focal point surrounded by lush, swaying plantings that bring the garden to life.

Now, it’s a private sanctuary, wrapped in blooms, swaying grasses, and endless charm.
